The onset of cold weather or excessive wear and tear on automotive batteries may be the cause of engine start failure. Vehicle owners use many methods that can be used to quickly start the car. If the car can’t be started, go through the program scrapping car for money.

Conventionally, these methods are divided into two categories: removing the battery and its subsequent charging or using the power of external devices and units (for example, cigarette lighter from another car).

Types of ROM
In pulse start-chargers 12/24 V 220 the principle of multi-pulse transformation of voltage parameters is implemented. Such devices are designed for starting a cold engine with a pre-charged battery. If the battery is heavily discharged, the use of pulse ROM is not effective.

The reasons for buying such starting-chargers are low price and low weight. These advantages do not make sense if there are high requirements for the parameters of the network, where the electrical equipment operates, and low power products.

Among the fail-safe 12/24 V starter-chargers are transformer devices. The current inside the stations is sequentially converted, after which the power source helps to start the car engine even when the vehicle’s battery is heavily discharged. Devices are characterized by high parameters of power and starting current, at the same time it is difficult to call them portable.

Transformer starting-chargers for the car today are the most expensive. For this reason such stations are part of the technical means of large service centers. It is recommended to use the devices only for replenishing the charge of lead batteries. The use of transformer ROMs for charging other types of power sources leads to their damage.

Capacitor automobile starting-chargers are rare. Inside the electrical products are variconds, which, once fully charged, allow only a few cars to start. Each failed attempt to start the car drastically reduces the accumulated charge, which negatively affects the quality of the internal battery. Even though the devices are mobile, they are rarely used.

Domestic car battery boosters have quickly gained popularity among car owners. Portable boosters are equipped with a module for charging the batteries. Depending on the actual capacity and starting current parameters, the devices can start one or two cars. The higher the charge of the battery devices, the more efficient they are. The main tasks, which ROMs should cope with, are to ensure sufficient starting current at the moment of starting the engine and restoring the battery potential. In order to determine the parameters of the start-charger 12/24V 220, the buyer should read the passport of the original battery of the vehicle.

The determining characteristics will be the voltage value (12 or 24 volts), the type of battery, the charging and starting currents, the capacity of the built-in battery.

In practice, ROM is selected with a reserve of parameters. This allows to exclude unnecessary loads on the electrical devices (at the moment of starting the engine) and to prolong their service life.
